The Holy Gospel according to the Prairie Messiah

Like a myth you rode in from the west. From the go you had my button pressed. Did the tea-time of your soul Make you long for wilder days? Did you never let Jack Kerouac Wash over you in waves?

Thrashin' dancin' still out there, the bodies piled up high. She used to mosh in pit with the best of them, You could see those elbows fly.

I just thought I would post a few pictures of my garden spots in progress. Granted, it just now started producing after a few weeks. I have 2 jalepeno peppers, 2 baby squash and 1 baby zucchini.

Today, I placed some mulch mats around my peach seedings and staked my tomato plants. What's up with Wal~Mart not selling garden stakes? They said they did have some of those tomato plant cages, but they were even sold out of those. So, I built some garden stakes using 1" diameter wooden dowels from the arts and crafts department, recycling the staples from the mulch mat labeling and some trot line that I had in the storage room. My "garden stakes" cost about $1.00 a piece and function very well. The garden stakes are not pictured. Why do I have purple dirt in the bottom photo? I don't recall ANY purple soil on my property at all!

I also found myself purchasing a flag that had some whimsical puppy dog with a flower on his head. The flag said something about "Good Dog don't pick the flowers" Obviously, "Good" dog was not so good and picked a flower and put it on his head to be cute as not to get in trouble. Obviously, as well, I am a big dork because that Good Dog flag is now hanging from my front porch. I am such a sucker for puppy dogs! I have no idea why I did not get a picture of that stupidity.
